5 Reasons To Stay Positive As You Quarantine

stay positive as you self-quarantine

It’s not news that you wake up every day to negative reports about the coronavirus. You need to align yourself with things that would keep you positive. If not, you might suffer a mental and, or physical breakdown.

Therefore, at a time like this, it is only right to shut yourself off anything that would create room for fear and hopelessness.

Below are 5 reasons why you should remain positive when in quarantine for the Coronavirus.

1. Better Health:

When you keep a positive mindset, you feel a lot more energetic and healthier; than those that dwell on the negative vibration from all the news about the coronavirus. You can even get sick from, following and jumping on everything you hear about the virus.

For example, I have some people on my WhatsApp that never go a day without posting updates on the virus. Including information shared by the NCDC on the number of cases. Are you a journalist?

I have taken it upon myself to advise some to stop. This is because it can get to a point where you end up getting sick as a result of all the negativity you keep putting out.

The mind is very powerful. So powerful that it has a strong effect on your body and your wellbeing. Positive thinking can boost your immune system, as well as helping your body to recuperate faster.

2. Fear Does Not Change Anything:

You watch the news today, almost every channel is pushing out negative news as you are quarantined. Furthermore, everyone on your timeline is posting about the end of the world, 5g, coronavirus, etc. You start freaking out and running scared. My dear friend, the fear can kill faster than the virus itself, faster than the radiation and every other negative thing that you are now scared of.

For example, assuming you can’t help it. Has the negativity and fear changed anything? Ask yourself this simple question. If the answer is no, then there is no point running scared.

3. Your Happiness Depends On It

Research shows that good health and happiness go hand-in-hand. It can make our immune system stronger, our hearts healthier and also boost longevity.  Furthermore, your happiness is dependent on the kind of messages you allow into your head.

Negative thoughts would only result in unhappiness which would, in turn, be detrimental to your general wellbeing. So tell me, would you rather be sad or happy?.

4. Better Relationships:

Another good reason to stay positive in this season of the virus is the effect positive thinking has on your relationship with friends and family. Dwelling on the negative and spreading negative information is very likely to result in conflicts with friends and family members that do not share the same views as you.

Similarly, human beings tend to admire and gravitate to positive people, while distancing themselves with negative people. As positive people are perceived to possess uplifting energy, bring happiness and joy, and are also fun to be with.

5. Create Opportunities

While you are dwelling on negativity, others are seeking out opportunities from the crisis. Staying positive would keep you from stress and help you focus. Focused on ideas and concepts that would create value for you as you self-quarantine.

For example, you can use the time to learn a new skill, develop a business plan for that business idea that you have been nursing for some time now. Similarly, you can sell a product or service that is highly in demand at the moment.

In conclusion, staying positive in the midst of the coronavirus and every other negative issue right now is essential for health, power over fear, your happiness, and relationships and would also help you focus on opportunities that can be of great value to you.
