Mr Romantic

The proposal which was a romantic one, was a complete surprise as the unsuspecting Chioma had no idea was was to be.

Apparently, the Kasimpasa defender seems to be one of those ‘few’ lovey-dovey, romantic Nigeria men still existing.

Chioma walked into a room to see her boyfriend while Omeruo sat on the bed.

Surprise Suprise

While she was still in the joyous mood of seeing him, the footballer swiftly went on his knee to propose to her.

It took a bedazzled Chioma some time to come to terms to what was happening.

Upon realizing, she had to cover her face at some point as everything came as a total surprise to her.

She finally said ‘yes’ and the family members who were hiding in another part of the room came out to congratulate the duo.

As expected, Chioma was shocked as she did not expect to see the appearing well wishers.

Then after, she was all over the place as she kept jumping from one person to the other showing off her ring.

Omeruo soon after took to his Instagram page to share the video of the proposal and thanked everyone who helped him put it together.

Score More Goals, Become A Top-Class Player, Arsene Wenger Tells Iwobi

Published

on

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger believes Alex Iwobi will be a ‘top-class’ player if he can score more often.

Accolades

The Nigeria international earned rave reviews for his solid performance in the Gunners’ 0-0 draw with Chelsea last weekend.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright was full of praise for the 21-year-old following his decent showing against the Blues.

He also featured in the second half against Doncaster Rovers in mid-week, albeit to minimal impact.

With Ozil set to return against West Bromwich Albion on Monday, Iwobi is still expected to play a part in the game.

Breaking Barriers

Wenger is however of the opinion Iwobi is destined for greater heights as he continues his football development.

“I like the fact that he can play in tight areas, that he turns the game forwards, that he’s very mobile,” Wenger told the club website.

“We forget sometimes that Alex is still a very young player and that there’s a lot more to come from him.

“There must be a lot more to come from him because he has more personality in the game now.

“We expect him to be more efficient in the final third offensively, because you feel there are goals in there and assists too.

“They have to come out. Add that to the fact that he allows the team to play very well and he will be a top-class player.”

Statistics

Iwobi, who is Jay Okocha’s nephew, has played a total of 91 minutes of Premier League football this season.

But he’ll be looking to build on last week’s performance after earning his manager’s vote of confidence.
