Tammy Abraham Set To Dump England For Nigeria

Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham, known as Tammy Abraham has agreed to play for Nigeria, reports indicate.

NFF President, Amaju Pinnick confirmed after talks with the England youth teamer and his parents in London.

Pinnick claims to have had a down-to-earth and positive discussion with the player and his father.

The Chelsea striker, who has been loaned to Swansea City till season end, is rated as one of the brightest English prospects.

Last season, Tammy, 19, netted 26 goals in 48 appearances on loan at Bristol City and also played for various England youth teams.

He featured at the European Under-21 Championship and has scored three times in nine appearances for the Young Lions.

Pinnick, a close friend of Abraham’s dad said,

“I had a very honest and productive discussion with Tammy and his father last week.

“It’s been a long process but I can tell you authoritatively that he has agreed to play for Nigeria and not England.

“He and his parents have started the necessary documents to effect the switch. Clearly, he understands he stands a better chance playing for the Super Eagles.

Abraham has played for England at U18, U19, and U21 level, but he is eligible for Nigeria through his father.

Pinnick said Nigeria, who also recently secured Ola Aina’ switch from England are working on Tammy.

“We are working on getting Abraham,” said Pinnick. “Tammy is like my son. His father and I grew up in the same neighborhood.

“With his talent, he has the ability to fight for a place in the Nigeria squad, by God’s grace we make it to Russia, then he would contest for a chance to represent his fatherland.”

Abraham scored his first Premier League goal at Crystal Palace before the international break. After which he scored again for the Young Lions against Latvia.

Mr Romantic

The proposal which was a romantic one, was a complete surprise as the unsuspecting Chioma had no idea was was to be.

Apparently, the Kasimpasa defender seems to be one of those ‘few’ lovey-dovey, romantic Nigeria men still existing.

Chioma walked into a room to see her boyfriend while Omeruo sat on the bed.

Surprise Suprise

While she was still in the joyous mood of seeing him, the footballer swiftly went on his knee to propose to her.

It took a bedazzled Chioma some time to come to terms to what was happening.

Upon realizing, she had to cover her face at some point as everything came as a total surprise to her.

She finally said ‘yes’ and the family members who were hiding in another part of the room came out to congratulate the duo.

As expected, Chioma was shocked as she did not expect to see the appearing well wishers.

Then after, she was all over the place as she kept jumping from one person to the other showing off her ring.

Omeruo soon after took to his Instagram page to share the video of the proposal and thanked everyone who helped him put it together.
